The first thing people notice about Dragonic is his confidence and strength.

The truth is, Dragonic wasn't always as strong as he is today. As a child, he was all skin and bone, which made him look out of place among the famously powerful and fierce Azure Dragons. As a result, the young Dragonic was often teased by others.

But Dragonic wasn't like his peers at all. He was innocent and had a positive attitude towards everything. Even when faced with people who laughed at him, Dragonic always responded with a sunny smile, which, in turn, gained him many friends.

The real turning point in Dragonic's life was probably when he encountered the Dragonslayer on the day the Battle of the Dragonslayer broke out.

Dragonslayer—the natural enemy of all Dragonborn, and a name that can never be erased from Dragonic's mind!

The winters in Kotchiwi are so frigid that even ordinary beasts rarely stick around for it. As in previous years, Dragonic's father, the clan leader, started to move south with his people, but they were ambushed halfway. The fierce battle triggered a forest fire, and the clan members fled in fear. But the Dragonslayer, who had been lying in wait for a long time, wasn't about to let go of such a great opportunity. To protect the clan, Dragonic's father stayed behind to fight the Dragonslayer alone, only to fall in battle.

The survivors continued to move south, but the young Dragonic made a run for the forest when the clan's guard was lowered. There, he was captured by the Nightfall, who had come sniffing around after the battle. From then on, Dragonic's life was drastically changed.

Dragonic doesn't shy away from talking to people about the day when he was captured by the Nightfall. His light-hearted tone makes it sound as if the suffering was no big deal for him.

The young Dragonic was raised by the Nightfall, but his upbringing wasn't all roses. The Nightfall used all kinds of ways to break his will until he became a puppet who was completely subservient to their orders. For a long time, the meaning of Dragonic's existence was to fight under the control of the Nightfall, regardless of morality. Of course, this period of time was full of violence and bloodshed.

That is, until Dragonic met someone of the same dragon bloodline as him.

Once on a mission, Dragonic was badly wounded. In a trance, he saw a strange woman slowly walking towards him. He tried to get up, but the excruciating pain and endless fatigue knocked him out immediately.

When he woke up, the wounds on his body had already been treated. Although the bandaging looked clumsy, the woman with the beast bones in front of him didn't seem hostile.

“You're awake! Great! Do you know how heavy you are?!” the woman exclaimed as she saw Dragonic wake up.

“...”

“You're a Dragonborn? So am I!” With that, she turned around and swung the dragon tail behind her towards Dragonic.

“Pfft!”

Accustomed to his reaction, the woman wasn't angry at all. Instead, she gave him a bright smile since he was looking a lot better.

The feeling was familiar!

Dragonic tried to grasp this sense of déjà vu. It seemed that when he was a young boy, he was just like her.

“Where are your people?” she asked softly, raising her clear eyes.

The Beastkin have always had the habit of living in groups, so the dragon girl was curious when she saw Dragonic alone.

“My people?” Dragonic drifted into contemplation. The memory fragments were locked by something. He tried to grasp them, but couldn't.

As Dragonic's headache worsened, the dragon girl realized that something was wrong with him, so she whacked him with her bone spear, rendering him unconscious.

A few months passed. Dragonic no longer held the dragon girl's attack against her. They regarded each other as siblings, and their relationship continued to deepen. Although Dragonic often wore a stern face, the dragon girl knew that underneath his cold exterior was a warm heart. Dragonic also felt that his cold heart was beginning to have something to care about.

Dragonic initially didn't tell the dragon girl that he was serving Nightfall, perhaps fearing that she would reject him or fearing that revealing his identity would hurt her. In the corner of Dragonic's heart, there was always a place that didn't sit right with the girl, something called “freedom.”

The dragon girl said she wanted to see the world, so she secretly left her hometown. After leaving, she realized that the world was a vast place. There were tribes that followed the water and grass, coasts and undulating kingdoms, ancient towering trees in the forest, and even sugar-coated fruit skewers in the east. Dragonic had never heard of these things. In his days of serving Nightfall, apart from the demanding missions, there were only the cold walls of the night.

What truly moved Dragonic and made him yearn to escape the control of Nightfall was merely the desire for freedom. The girl said, “My hometown is called Dragonbreath. It is in the distant northwest of the continent, also known as the Land of the Setting Sun! Every year, during the twilight of the autumn equinox, the descendants of the Dragon gather on the cliffs by the sea, spreading their wings and waiting for the response of our ancestors. I'd take you to see it if possible.”

Dragonic understood that if he didn't leave Nightfall, he wouldn't have freedom, and he would never have the opportunity again.

Dragonic accompanied the girl back to her homeland. Beneath the cliff, the surging waves of the sea rolled, splashing the twilight onto his azure wings. The scars from that battle still faintly ached, but watching her excited shouts, it seemed that every sacrifice was worth it.

The dragons roared, and the dragon wings instantly erased the remaining sunlight, as if nightfall had suddenly arrived. Within the bloodline known as the “Dragonborn,” there was still a glimmer of radiance, waiting for the day of rebirth.

People?! It seemed that a long, long time ago, there was such a scene—a cold winter, swirling snow, footsteps advancing toward the south... No, there were also forests, raging fires, battles, blood...

Dragonic's roar sounded somewhat painful, appearing out of place. The scene before his eyes seemed to be erased, replaced by painful memories that pounded in his head and heart. Until an angry roar pierced through the darkness, gradually fading back into reality—“Fellow kin! It's the Dragonslayer! The Dragonslayer! He's come with the knights of the kingdom! The light of the dragons shall endure! Fight with me!”

Dragonslayer! Dragonslayer! Dragonslayer! Dragonslayer! Dragonslayer!

The memories that were sealed away by Nightfall began to loosen. Deep blue lightning surrounded Dragonic's body. He knew that now was the moment to fight with all his strength!
